I remember lugging a “lantern” around which was a normal flashlight bulb, in a heavy chrome housing, attached to the top of a 6 volt lantern battery. I also remember never taking it out of the box after the 3rd or 4th time. Compare that to the Nite Tracker 3800 which is 40 times as bright as an automobile headlight, weighs the same as that old “lantern” and is rechargeable to boot.
