The Switchback has 2 independent battery sources: 2 AA batteries &/or 4 C batteries. You can use the headlamp w/the 2 AA batteries housed in the unit, or plug the C or AA cell pack in for extra burn time & more power. These options make the Switchback reliable even in very cold temperatures. An added advantage to the Switchback is that it is waterproof up to 33 ft.

The cell pack has a belt clip & lanyard, or you can just carry the cell pack in your backpack.

The Switchback has a focusable beam w/a spare bulb housed in the unit. The bulb is a dual filament bulb (both low & high output) w/3 position switches to press for the different settings plus a 3 LED cluster. A fleece storage bag & 2 AA alkaline batteries are included.

• Burn time w/2 high-powered white LEDs: 40 hrs. w/2 AA batteries; 300+ hrs. w/4 C batteries
• Burn time w/low output bulb: 5 - 6 hrs. w/2 AA batteries; 24+ hrs. w/4 C batteries
• Burn time w/high output bulb: 6 - 8 hrs. w/4 C batteries
• LED life: 10,000 hrs.
