 Survival On Snow's F1-ND is the most effective avalanche transceiver on the market due to its accurate audio & visual directional victim locating system. The SOS beacons combine digital & analog technology to create an easy to operate, fast & reliable digitally driven device.
Clear visual clues are delivered by 7 LED lights w/the signal strength to indicate direction & distances. The LEDs begin indicating a signal long before any other beacon gives any visual clues. This gives the F1-ND a greater usable range than other beacons, even when audio signals are very weak.
Several features make this beacon indispensable in search & rescue efforts: DSL bar graph (Directional Sensing LED) indicates the search direction like a compass. You simply point & go, letting the lights lead you to the victim.7 synchronized range settings keep you moving fast on the flux line to the target.The audio signal & DSL bar gragh combined w/the synchronized range dial give full control to isolate & pinpoint multiple victims.The patented range dial w/travel control system keeps you moving fast & efficiently directly to the target. The F1-ND has an effective receiving range of up to 90 meters, & the range LED signals when to adjust the range.The on-off switch is an integral part of the two-part harness system, forcing the unit on while worn. The transmit LED verifies the unit is operational & accurately displays battery condition. This built-in self-testing ensures fail-safe operation.
